We bought our first building!
La Villita Housing Cooperative (LVHC) is planned as a multi-site housing co-op in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. Our focus is to resist displacement and gentrification by getting housing into the hands of the community and creating a pathway to homeownership for people with low incomes and disabilities.

Together, we are building on legacies of resilience and the hope of past and current organizing movements for dignified housing for people of all backgrounds and cultures, with a focus on working with people who are traditionally left out of housing security. We are proving that, when we unite, we can protect and preserve our homes and our community fabric for generations to come, as well as create spaces for multi-cultural interaction and collaboration that fosters understanding and solidarity.
